Whispers  on  the  Horizon
地平線上的低吟
born in 1941, Guangdong - lives and works in New Taipei City

Rows of houses rise and fade into the evening light, their outlines dissolving into soft shadows. Through layered ink washes, HO Huai-Shuo evokes a quiet longing for a place that feels like home.
Originally from Guangdong, he came to Taiwan via Hong Kong, studied in the United States, and ultimately settled in Taiwan. The journey deepened his sense of distance, shaping an artistic language where light and emptiness meet — a search for belonging that drifts gently between memory and return.

Clouds in the Dusk, 1989, Ink and pigment on paper, 65.5 × 96 cm, Collection of Taipei Fine Arts Museum.
