This film documents the woman worker Liao Hsiu-li, a lift operator on the skyscraper Taipei 101, and the aborigine brothers Bulu and Yiguo, who serve as worksite foremen for the Taiwan high-speed railroad. Segments of the film portray their private lives and on-the-job realities, and the constantly shifting state of their lives as they move from site to site. This is a story of momentous cities and insignificant workers, and a study of the distance that separates different classes.
