LEE DAO-MING
This film documents five Thai laborers who came to work in Taiwan. In this unfamiliar land they were confronted with a process they could not have expected - their factory closed due to unscrupulous management practices. The man responsible for the factory put off paying them with pleasant-sounding excuses, leaving some of the Thai and Filipino workers with no means to seek compensation. After the factory closed, they took part in a Taiwan workers' self-rescue rotest. Later, their visas expired, and they were deported. This film follows three Thai laborers after they were sent back to Thailand, and the lives they now lead at home.
